YAWW stands for Yet Another Webcam Widget, because that's what it is. YAWW will download webcam images from a number of remote sites and flip through them on your desktop. By default, YAWW comes configured to display images from Kansas City's traffic monitoring cameras (the KC Scout system) and other webcams from around the Kansas City area. YAWW has several nifty features: => It downloads images in the background, slowly, to prevent being rude to the remote web server. => It determines the age of the remote image and won't display it if it gets too old (configurable). => It organizes the webcams into groups and will only show specific groups if desired (configurable). => Changing the list of webcams is quite easy -- the URLs and other relevant data are all in one file within the widget's folder structure. The comments there make it easy to change the settings.
